We
propose you to go over three magnificent
estancias of Buenos Aires province that
are full of “history and tradition”.
The History
& Tradition Route has almost 700km and
goes over Junín, San Nicolás and San Antonio
de Areco towns. In that lands there are
three of the XIX century estancias, which
are witness of Argentinean history. The
past revive when visitors enter the Colonial
and French style estancias, going over the
interior of them where old furniture that
came from various countries are still intact,
taking part of normal life.
Today the
estancias are still agricultural producers
and open his doors to the visitors, inviting
them to participate in different rural tasks,
go over the fields and relax in extensive
gardens. Commodities are stylish.
Cooking
deserves a special mention; traditional
cooking and typical “asados” predominate.
Interesting
Places:
The El
Carpincho Lagoon in Junin, seen by the Spanish
200 years ago, where you can fish or have
a canoe ride. It belongs to a group of three
lagoons very close to Salado River.
In San
Nicolás you can visit various museums and
admire the architectural inheritance, but
there is no doubt that the most attractive
place is the Maria del Rosario Sanctuary,
worshiped by a lot of people that came every
year from different part of the world.

San Antonio de Areco, visit Güiraldes museum
and the craftsman and silversmiths fair,
